Lew was designed to help with dementia loved ones and their caregivers. We designed Lew with three aspects: the loved one (the person with dementia or needing help), the caregiver, and friends and family.

DISCOVERY

The client came to us with an idea on how to keep in touch with loved ones who were living in assisted living or away from their loved ones. The idea was to build an app that was easy to use for people with dementia or age-related disabilities.

Design

The app was designed with three types of users in mind, each with its features.

THE LOVED ONE
Daily Checklist, Daily Calendar Pictures of People and Places and Messages
THE CAREGIVER
– Forum – Sometimes, it can feel isolating caring for someone with dementia. We have a forum to stay connected with people going through the same as you.
– Resources – Dementia is a full-time job. We provide some resources for you, from self-care to wills and in-care facilities.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Messages – Send messages directly to loved ones you know who are suffering from dementia. It means so much to them to know people care.
